IPC Class 3 Available

The main acceptance criteria for IPC-A-600 Class 3 PCBs

At Gold Mate, most of our PCBs are produced and assembled to meet IPC-A-600/IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards, which are commonly used in industries such as consumer electronics, computer peripherals, telecommunications, IoT, robotics, LED & lighting, test & measurement, and industrial controls. However, for specialized applications, such as automotive, medical, military, aeronautics, and life support systems, we adhere to IPC-A-600/IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.

For even more demanding sectors like military and aeronautics, we can provide PCBs manufactured to IPC Class 3/A standards, which are higher than the standard Class 3 requirements. At Gold Mate, we are committed to delivering PCBs that meet the highest industry standards to ensure optimal performance and reliability in critical applications.

The main acceptance criteria for IPC-A-610 Class 3 PCB Assembly

We emphasize the importance of proper PTH (Plated Through-Hole) hole wall filling for reliable soldering. For through-hole pins, IPC Class 2 requires a 50% hole wall filling with tin, while IPC Class 3 demands a higher 75% filling. Solder paste can be delicate when applied to small copper-plated holes (PTH), so we recommend designing with PTH sizes greater than 15 mils for component pins. This ensures a 7.5 mils space on each side, allowing solder paste to fill the hole wall more effectively. Regardless of size, it’s crucial that PTH leads are always perfectly soldered, adhering to your specific standards and requirements.
